Sardegna, Italy 2014

Myself and my boyfriend, Benj, travelled parts of Italy around Christmas 2013 but due to the weather we never saw Sardegna so we thought what better way to explore than camp on the beach this summer!

It was 35 degrees+ each day and the most fun I have had in a while to say we had no hair dryer/hot showers/mirrors/bed for the whole duration. We would ride our bicycles to the local bakery each morning and wake up to the sunrise on the beach, it was such a nice change and we got to knew each other even more.

Whilst we were there I taught Ben how to plait my hair as I had no mirror or hairdryer so this was a quick way of getting ready to go on adventures and its pretty ideal for your boyfriend to be able to do your hair haha.

After a couple of days there we made friends with another couple from Switzerland and after literally knowing them for a couple of hours we decided to leave camp as the four of us to go and stay in a different place further along the coast.. Bosa. Risky but exciting!

Bosa is around a one hour drive away from Sardegna on the coach which only costs 1 euro 50, it is so worth the hot coach. During the ride the sights literally took my breath away as the whole route is along the coast so when we finally pulled up I couldn't believe how extremely pretty and unique the place is. Each house is a different colour and there are so many craft shops/market stalls to go and explore within + amazing ice cream!

Overall I would definitely encourage anyone to go and camp on the beach - it is a completely different experience to the typical beach holiday, you learn so much more about people you are with when you are in such small surroundings plus you get to see sights that you would never see on your average tourist holiday.

Where is the best place you have travelled to?
Love Ella X
