Fashion, Communication and Promotion at NTU: End of year 1

I am currently writing this post as I think I have finally finished my portfolio for the end of year 1, I say think because I am never quite sure if I have covered the brief or how I compare to the other 130 students in my class until results day.

Year 1 has been a mixture of love and confusion. I love what I learn although I sometimes leave uni on the day confused as to why what I am being taught has to be dragged out over several hours throughout the week rather than being completed in two consecutive days.

I love the friends that I have made and I know for sure they will be friends for life. However I am slightly confused, still, a year on how I have been able to live for 19 years without Alexa and Jade and now I think I could end up lost without them.

I love the independence and the fact that your grade is simply down to you and how much work you are willing to put in to it although I HATE being in the situation where I have to commute..have lectures/seminars... drive home... go to work (as much as I say people with wealthy parents don't quite understand the true struggle of university/life balance I sometimes wish I could have those parents just for three years)

I love that I know I am working towards something that will ultimately better myself and I am not stuck in one position however I continuously question where this path will lead me and if I will be truly happy in the role and be able to truly use my passion of writing/advertising.

Overall, I am so glad I went ahead with university and year 1 has opened my eyes to a whole other world lets see what year 2 has to bring...
