Celebrity endorsements, why?

It has come to my attention that a lot of famous celebrities that perhaps a lot of people aspire to become have delved in to creating their own celebrity fragrance that is more 'stench' than 'swoon'.

Take Beyonce for example, American singer, song writer and actress worth an estimated $440 million so why did she feel the need to 1. join the long list of cringe worthy perfumes and 2. create such a cheap product for someone so rich in other ways.

Blatantly photoshopped, Beyonce seems to be advertising the need for her perfume when you are 'feeling the heat' I guess I will leave that to your imagination..

Similar to Beyonce in some ways, Khloe Kardashian created a unisex scent with her now ex-husband Lamar awkwardly named 'Unbreakable'. All I think of is 'predictable', we get it, you are a young american couple that have known each other a matter of months and want the world to see just how in love you are.. or how much money you want to make from this exposure.

I struggle to understand the need for such established celebrities to promote a perfume within the range of £15-30 for young girls that are blissfully unaware that the certain celebrity most probably had no involvement in creating.

Where did class go?
