Same story, different marketing level.

So this week at university we have been looking at the way different brands market their products. We were looking at the interpretation of key fashion attitudes and brand values from high end to high street and we found there are only so many stories that can be demonstrated - whatever the market level, fashion tells the same stories with similar life style narratives and aspirations.

For example myself and my group looked at Tommy Hilfiger V Jack Wills and we thought these words summarised their brand..
Brit heritage with block colours, attempting to ooze the relaxed upper-class persona, at times perceived as preppy with a twist design, often associated with the outdoor country.

The second analysis was required to be done independently without our lecturers help. Myself and my group thought that both Prada and Zara have rather similar attributes and their clothes offer a simple yet pure concept…
In my view both Prada and Zara offer a simply timeless range, often coming across as romantic and classic, reaching out worldwide, displaying heritage made cool.
