It feels so strange to know we are officially in 2015 and even stranger to think I am going to New York in 3 days!
Last night myself and Benj met up with one of my oldest friends and her family to celebrate the new year at our local restaurant and danced the night away. I haven't seen my friend, Olivia, for a few months due to university and working all of the time and just life getting in the way so it was so nice to be back together - exactly how it was when I last saw her.
We all had quite a bit to drink (Benj more so than anyone else) however we managed to make it home in the snowy atmosphere and the extremely icy roads.
I decided that due to it being so cold that I would wear leather trousers, high heeled black boots and a dark navy polo blouse. At first I thought it wasn't very New years Eve but once I had it on with jewellery and a bright lipstick I felt it worked perfectly for where we were going.
Today I have so far made breakfast, watched a new film called 'What If' (I will post a film review shortly) and now a lot of Benj's family are over for a Turkey dinner shortly. Then tonight I am meeting my dad for a cosy drink most probably!
Its pretty sad to know that the Christmas period is over for another year and everyone has to go back to work or studying and we won't have as much time all together - but I guess thats a part of growing up.
I am really looking forward to making new and deeper friendships throughout this next year and to keep on taking little adventures when we can.
I hope everyone starts 2015 as they mean to go on and at least manage to stick to their new years resolution until February!
