Object of desire

Coming towards the end of the first semester of FCP I was given a quick photography brief that was to be completed within three days.

The idea was to capture a photo of anything at all that you desire yourself or that you believe others desire. Once you have the photo you can then edit it by using the photoshop skills we have picked up throughout the semester.

I decided to look at this brief through the vision of consumerism. Countless numbers of people head out shopping as a 'pick me up' and even I believe going shopping and purchasing a few things that make you feel good can help your mood.

I decided to take inspiration from Valentino's approach on advertising their latest pair of sunglasses simply by having a mans hand and arm with tattoos holding the sunglasses in his hand. This approach stands out to me as it shows just how easy it is for established brands to promote their products. Barely any money would have been needed as it has been through post production.

Here is my final outcome - advertising KHAKI GREEN GUCCI.
In my view the lack of prop, styling, layout - stands out to the consumer and lets them focus on whats important - the sunglasses.

If you had to choose an object of desire what would you choose?
